About Us

Welcome to 1st Merton Park Scout Group. Our group is home to a Squirrel Dray, Beaver Colony, Cub Pack and Scout Troupe. We also work in partnership with 1st Merton Park Explorer Unit.

For over 100 years there has been scouting in Merton Park. We are an active part of the local community and take pride in our connections to Merton Park. We are part of the Wimbledon & Wandle Scout District, which in turn is part of the Greater London South West Scout County.

Our group runs all scouting sections from age 4 up to the age of 18. We working in partnership with The Merton Park Explorer Scout Unit.

1st Merton Park was formed in 1960 from the merger of 7th Wimbledon and the 16th Wimbledon Scout Groups. As a group we are proud of out heritage and proud to continue the legacy of the old groups in supporting our local community of Merton Park.

Scouting provides fun for over 500,000 members, and all of their leaders in the United Kingdom. Every Scout Group in the UK is dependent on its volunteers, so any help that you can give us in any form would be brilliant even if it’s just an hour a month!
