Jonny has been a part of scouting since the age of six, beginning his journey as a Beaver in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. After moving to London in 2020, he volunteered with a group in North London as an Assistant Section Leader for their Beaver section before joining 1st Merton Park in late 2022.

Since then, Jonny has supported multiple section teams, including the Scout Section Leadership Team, before stepping into the role of Group Lead Volunteer.

Alongside scouting, Jonny works as a theatre technician in London’s West End, which means he isn’t always able to attend weekly meetings. However he works closely with the rest of the Group Leadership Team to ensure the group runs smoothly and that volunteers feel supported in delivering a great programme for young people.
