Jonny has been a member of scouting since he was 6, starting a Beaver scout in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. After moving to London in 2020, Jonny had been a member of another group in North London as an Assistant Section Leader in their Beaver Section. Joining Merton Park as a Leader in late 2022, Jonny has been a member of various teams including the Scout Leadership Team as well as the Group Leadership Team. Jonny is currently in the role of Lead Volunteer for the Group temporarily during the Transformation period. As a theatre technician working in London’s west end, he cannot be at weekly meetings however, along with other members of the group leadership team, he helps to ensure the group runs smoothly.

Meet Ben, the Quartermaster for 1st Merton Park Scout Group! Ben has been a part of the group for many years and has a deep passion for scouting and the outdoors. As Quartermaster, Ben is responsible for managing and maintaining all of the equipment and supplies needed for the group’s activities and outings.

Meet Rebeccah, the Historian for 1st Merton Park Scout Group! Rebeccah is a dedicated member of the group and has always been interested in the history and traditions of scouting. As Historian, she is responsible for documenting the group’s activities and preserving its heritage for future generations.

Kerry is the Team Leader for the Squirrel Section here at 1st Merton Park. With the rest of the Squirrel Section Team, she delivers the rewarding program for the young people allowing them to begin their Scouting journey in our youngest section.

Meet Sam, one of the Team Members for the Squirrel Section at 1st Merton Park Scout Group! Sam is a dedicated member of the group and has always had a passion for working with children. As a Section Assistant, Sam works closely with the Squirrel Section Team to plan and deliver exciting activities that help the children develop new skills and build confidence.

Meet Marilia, another of our Section Team Members for the Squirrel Section at 1st Merton Park Scout Group! Marilia is a passionate member of the group and has always had a love for working with children. As a Team Member she works closely with the Squirrel Team  to plan and deliver exciting activities that help the children develop new skills and build confidence.

Sam is a Team Member with our Squirrel Section Team. As an integral part of the Squirrel Team, she helps to lead our section meetings alongside helping to design and deliver the programme.

Vinnie came up as a young person in 1st Merton Park so we are thrilled that he is now a Team Member for our youngest section in the group. His passion for scouting is evident in how he helps the young people to learn and grow.

Andrew is our Team Leader for the Beavers Section here at 1st Merton Park. His commitment is the Beaver Section is evident in the diverse programme he and is team develop for the young people on a weekly basis!

Lara-Jane has been with the Group for a number of years now in various roles but is currently a Team Member with the Beaver Section. Her passion for the movement is well received by the young people and the adore doing the activties which she helps to deliver. Working in a school in her day job, she has a natural knack of working with young people!

Jo joined us in August 2024 as a member of the Beaver Section Team and is making an amazing impact in how the programme is developed and delivered for the young people.

Jane, our Cubs Team Leader is a well experienced and respected member of 1st Merton Park, after growing up in the area and her children also having come through the group, she has a massive amount of experience when it comes to managing the Cubs Section Team and the Young People.

Adrian recently joined our Group but is making a massive impact with his vast experience of Scouting skills. Originally a Leader in Australia, he brings with him a wealth of experience and a different perspective on how the section and programme can be run.

Meet Bob, an Assistant Section Leader for the Scout Section at 1st Merton Park Scout Group! Bob is a dedicated and experienced member of the group who is passionate about helping young people develop new skills and grow in confidence. As Assistant Section Leader, he works closely with the Section Leader and other leaders to plan and deliver exciting and challenging activities that help the Scouts develop leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Meet Charles, an Assistant Section Leader for the Scout Section at 1st Merton Park Scout Group! Charles is a dedicated and experienced member of the group who is passionate about helping young people develop new skills and explore the outdoors. As Assistant Section Leader, he works closely with the Section Leader and other leaders to plan and deliver exciting and challenging activities that help the Scouts develop leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Luke is a dedicated member of our Scouts Leadership Team. As a teacher in his day job, he brings a wealth of experience when it comes to working with young people. Working with the rest of the Scouts Section Team, he helps to develop and deliver the varied programme which is offered to the Scouts as well as assist in the day to day running of the section.

Meet Alex, the Unit Leader for the Merton Park Explorer Scout Unit! Alex is a dedicated and experienced member of the scouting community, who is passionate about helping young people develop new skills and gain valuable experiences. As Unit Leader, he leads a team of skilled and enthusiastic leaders in providing engaging and challenging activities for Explorer Scouts aged 14-18.

Meet Vicky, an Assistant Section Leader for the Merton Park Explorer Scout Unit! Vicky is a dedicated and enthusiastic member of the scouting community who is passionate about helping young people develop new skills and gain valuable experiences. As Assistant Section Leader, she works closely with the Section Leader and other leaders to plan and deliver exciting and challenging activities for Explorer Scouts aged 14-18.

Clive is a highly respected and esteemed member of the 1st Merton Park Scout Group community, serving as the Honorary Group President. With a long-standing history of involvement with the group, Clive is a well-known and highly regarded figure within the wider community.

As Honorary Group President, Clive provides valuable guidance and support to the group, drawing on his extensive experience and knowledge to help ensure that the group continues to thrive and grow. He is deeply committed to the group’s mission of supporting the development of young people in the community, and is highly respected by both the board and the wider group community.

Emma, our Group Chair is a massively important member of the Trustee Board. It is her job to ensure that all activities which the Group undertake are legal and safe. Assisted by the other members of the trustee board, she supports the Group Leadership team in the day to day running of Merton Park Scouts

Meet Jessica, the Group Secretary on the Trustee Board for 1st Merton Park Scout Group! Jessica is a highly organized and detail-oriented member of the scouting community who plays a key role in supporting the group’s administrative functions. As Group Secretary, she is responsible for maintaining accurate records of meetings and decisions, managing correspondence, and ensuring that the group operates in compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

Meet John, the Group Treasurer on the Trustee Board for 1st Merton Park Scout Group! John is a highly skilled and experienced member of the scouting community who brings a wealth of financial expertise to the group. As Group Treasurer, he is responsible for managing the group’s finances, ensuring that resources are used effectively to support the delivery of high-quality scouting activities.

Hannah is a valued member of the 1st Merton Park Scout Group, serving as a Member of the Trustee Board. She is a dedicated and passionate advocate for scouting, and works tirelessly to ensure that the group’s activities and events are successful and enjoyable for all involved.

Kathy is an integral member of the 1st Merton Park Scout Group, serving as a Member of the Trustee Board. She is deeply committed to the scouting movement, and works tirelessly to ensure that the group is able to provide exciting and challenging activities for its members. Kathy is also the driving force for our group’s main fundraising activties: The Jumble Sales!

Laura is a very well respected member of the local community and brings a valued perspective to our Trustee Board. As our liason with the local church, she provides crucial aspects which allow our scout group to continue meeting on a weekly basis.
